AP Holiday 2025
2025 was a big year for Ambient Press. We were able to continue moving forward in our goal of bringing unique characters and stories to the world despite a shifting commercial landscape. We grew, with a new director joining the team to help elevate our style and production capacity. And we expanded our reach with new commercial representation in Bella. As the year comes to a close, we thought it was the perfect time for one last little animation to celebrate the holiday season and a close to a great year. This is the story of Tommy and Tasker, two little woodland raccoons just wanting to dig through rubbish in peace. But when a flamboyant neighbor decides to illuminate the forest with festive lights, they take it upon themselves to bring the festivities to a more manageable level. Enjoy this little burst of holiday fun, and thank you to everyone, clients, collaborators, and audiences who helped to make 2025 a year to remember for Ambient Press.
Tommy and Tasker set off on a rapid mission to reign in the over abundance of illumination in their forest. A brief shock later, and they manage to find a happy middle ground.

In every project, we end up with a stack of concept art, ideas, sketches, scribbles, and more that all define the vision for the final piece but rarely manage to see the light of day. Below is a collection of some of our favorite pieces of exploration from this project. The very beginnings of Tommy and Tasker, our racoon protagonists were defined with pencil and paper, and we had a blast bringing them to life on the screen.
